Xavier took the lead of Sopartec in January 2024 as CEO, bringing his expertise in innovation management, support and financing of entrepreneurial projects.
Before joining Sopartec, Xavier led MIC (formerly Microsoft Innovation Center) for nine years, successfully orchestrating two major strategic shifts in the organization's direction to accelerate the adoption of digital technologies in Wallonia. He established strong partnerships with digital industry leaders and public institutions.
Xavier also served as a board member for regional investment funds and chairman of the board of Digital Attraxion, a seed fund for digital startups. He co-led CEI, Maison de l'Entreprise, specializing in supporting startups and corporate innovation. He actively participated in the creation of several entrepreneurial projects.
Coming from a background in mergers and acquisitions consultancy and change management at LEK in London and Arthur D. Little in Paris, Xavier built his professional path on an analytical and human-centered approach.
Graduated in Economics, he deepened his knowledge in innovation management at Louvain School of Management, focusing on intellectual property strategy. Accredited Guberna director and certified Scrum Product Owner, he continues his development as a member of APM, benefiting from the teachings of renowned experts and fruitful exchanges with Walloon entrepreneurs.
By joining Sopartec, Xavier aims to strengthen UCLouvain's research contribution to current societal and economic challenges.
